Perfect Course to introduce you to Acrylic Application
This Acrylic System course offers expert training in the art of creating a professional set of nails with or without extensions using an Acrylic powder and liquid. Spread over a full day, this in-depth Acrylic course delivers the perfect balance of theory and practical to give you the knowledge, understanding, confidence and skill to begin your new career and provide a professional nail service. During the course you will be expected to meet certain requirements, produce case studies (where applicable) Any student who does not achieve the pass standard will be invited to repeat the course with no extra charge apart from products used.
This is a one-day course for experienced nail tech’s who are competent in Manicure, tip sizing and application. Students are required to work on a practice hand and each other (if you are the only student booked on the course you will need to bring a model). Students must be at least 16 years of age. Students should arrive with natural nails free from nail extensions and product. Students must hold Manicure and a Tip Enhancement qualification. Copies or photographs of these will be be requested.
The trainers own Health and Safety policies and a brief recap of course basics are included in all courses.
For Salon and Online Courses: Download our course manual and in your own time read through the contents and be ready to answer the multi choice questions on the following. Direct Beauty Supplies - A Brief History, Appearance - Presenting as a professional, Health and Safety (It matters), Liability Insurance, COSHH, Salon Hygiene, Anatomy and Physiology, Nails, Disease and Disorders, Client Consultation, Nail Shapes, Record Card and GDPR.
With an understanding of the theory you will spend most of the time enjoying these practical subjects - Acrylic overlays, Sculptured Nails, Tip structures, Nail preparation, Tip sizing and correct application reduced contact area and full contact area, Acrylic application steps, Reverse application, Filing and finishing, Aftercare, Maintenance, Rebalance, Removal. Troubleshoot. This will be taught face to face either inside the trainers salon, on your premises if the trainer has travelled to you or via video where you can watch your trainer work and more importantly she can watch and guide you in real time, following instruction with supporting close up photographs and images.
A recognised qualification. All successful students will be awarded a Professional Certification by Direct Beauty Supplies Accreditation: ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) which will be nationally recognised within the Nail industry. This means that you will be able to gain your professional indemnity insurance with this certificate. This insurance will cover you to work from home, mobile or in a salon. 10% discount through Direct Beauty Supplies. DBS Certificates are created and forwarded as PDF's at a cost of £20.00 (£10.00 during promotion) They are however included at no charge when one of our training kits is purchased. (See options at booking)
A kit is not required to book this course however we have a choice of kits available to purchase, If you sourse your own kit it must contain the products and tools to cover the complete course.

Once you book we will forward the relevant manual to you shortly (Usually within the hour, if you can’t see it please check your junk/trash folder) please reply to this email and confirm if you wish to complete the course on line or with a trainer when the restrictions lift? This course although non-refundable will remained booked for 3 months.
Once you have your manual you can start immediately, if you've purchased a training kit it will arrive with you with 2-5 working days, work through the manual at your own pace, answer the multiple choice questions and get ready for the practical work! Email your quiz answers to us and we will file them safely in your student folder ready for your assessment.
For classroom courses:- We will be in touch to arrange a location and date for your chosen course.
For Online Students :- You will work through the Step by Steps for your course with your trainer via video where you can watch each other work in real time following instruction with supporting close up photographs and images. Once passed you will receive your certificate and Beauty Website (Backscratchers Students Only) The course is non refundable and will remain booked for 3 months.
