This Builder Gel course offers expert training in the art of creating a professional set of nails with or without extensions. We are happy to provide a training kit or you can source your own as long as it meets the trainers requirements for the course.
Any student who does not achieve the pass standard will be invited to repeat the course with no extra charge apart from products used.
This course is for complete beginners and so there are no requirements as a manicure qualification is included. Students are required to work on a model or a practice hand. Students must be at least 16 years of age.
For all courses our manual will be forwarded to you to keep and refer too for years to come. Read through in your own time and answer the multi choice questions returning these to us with your student contract.
Subjects covered - Appearance, Presenting as a professional, Health and Safety (It matters), Liability Insurance, COSHH, Salon Hygiene, Anatomy and Physiology, Nails, Disease and Disorders, Client Consultation, Nail Shapes, Record Card and GDPR.
With an understanding of the theory you will spend the majority of the time enjoying practical subjects – Spread over 4 days the training you will receive during this course will take you confidently from presenting yourself as a professional, assessing and understanding your client expectations through to nail and cuticle preparation for long lasting enhancements. Product application over a natural nail, shaping and finishing. How to size a nail tip for extensions, tip application, blending the tip for a flawless nail. product application over the nail tip. You will learn how to maintain these beautiful enhancements with regular infills and how to remove them safely when your client is ready for a full new set.
This will be taught face to face either inside the trainers salon, on your premises if the trainer has travelled to you or via video where you can watch your trainer closely and more importantly she can watch and guide you in real time. In all scenarios there will be case studies and images needed to assess your progress.
A recognised qualification. Successful students will be awarded a Professional Certification by Direct Beauty Supplies, Accreditation: ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) which will be nationally recognised within the Nail industry. This means that you will be able to gain your professional indemnity insurance with this certificate. This insurance will cover you to work from home, mobile or in a salon. 10% discount through Direct Beauty Supplies.
Kits are not required to book this course however we have a choice of kits available to purchase. If you source your own kit it must contain the products and tools to cover the complete course.
