This course will will teach you how to apply a perfect set of nail tips and overlay them with Builder Gel to create long lasting beautiful enhancements.
Builder gel might not appear to be as hard as acrylic, but it is more flexible and can actually be stronger. For more natural looking nails, builder gel is often preferred over acrylic as it can be applied quickly with a high-shine finish. Builder Gel is also great for helping clients with easily broken nails maintain their natural nail length.
This course (2 Days or 12 Hours ) delivers the perfect balance of theory and practical to give you the knowledge, understanding, confidence and skill to add Builder Gel to your treatments and increase profits.
Any student who does not achieve the pass standard will be invited to repeat the course with no extra charge apart from products used.
Students must hold Manicure qualification. Copies or photographs of these will be be requested. A training kit is required. Students are allowed to work on themselves if a model is not available.
For all courses our manual will be forwarded to you to keep and refer too for years to come. Read through in your own time and answer the multi choice questions returning these to us with your student contract.
Subjects covered - Appearance, Presenting as a Professional, Health and Safety (It Matters), Liability, Insurance, COSHH, Salon Hygiene, Anatomy and Physiology Nails, Hands and Feet Disease and Disorders, Client Consultation, Nail Shapes Record card and GDPR.
As a qualified nail technician you already have an understanding of the theory and manicure procedures including cuticle and nail preparation.
We will concentrate on the correct procedure for Tip sizing, application and blending. You will then learn the step by step application of Builder Gel over a natural nail and over a tip extension. How to blend and finish. Nail extension (Free forming) Removing the system. Maintenance Infills. Controlling the Product, Product Knowledge. This will be taught face to face either inside the trainers salon, on your premises if the trainer has travelled to you or via a video link where you can watch each other work in real time. Our courses are one2one with no large group training.
A recognised qualification. Successful students will be awarded a Professional Certification by Direct Beauty Supplies, Accreditation: ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) which will be nationally recognised within the Nail industry. This means that you will be able to gain your professional indemnity insurance with this certificate. This insurance will cover you to work from home, mobile or in a salon. 10% discount through Direct Beauty Supplies.
Kits are not required to book this course however we have a choice of kits available to purchase. If you source your own kit it must contain the products and tools to cover the complete course.
